And away we go..................
Number Five: Nathan Kotylak, a seventeen year old elite member of the men's Canadian water polo team, who was caught lighting a rag on fire that was tucked into the gas tank of a police car during the riot following the Vancouver Canucks' Game 7 loss to Boston in the Stanley Cup Finals. He later apologized.
Elite Canadian Water Polo Player Participates In Vancouver Riot
His apology was tearful and seemed sincere. However, since he is an elite athlete, he will most likely be dealing with this, and its effect on his life, long after others arrested that night will be telling stories about it over pints of Molson. And since he is an elite athlete, he should have known better than to become involved in mob mentality. He did not have the foresight to avoid such a situation, and that is why he is a twatwaffle.
Number Four: Rush Limbaugh who recently inanely suggested that President Obama wants to "lose the war in Afghanistan” and his "Democratic base" wants the same. He then, in his fine, upstanding manner, also essentially compared the president to Adolph Hitler.
Limbaugh: Obama Is Like Hitler and Wants to Lose In Afghanistan
Well, Rush, it has been quite a while since you made the list, but I knew I could count on you to say something utterly idiotic to make your way back to a place of dishonor. Item the first: This nonsense that Democrats are either weak on defense or want to lose wars has no basis in fact, and frankly it is insulting. Perhaps we should review what party the president was when the US won WW I, WW II, and Korea. Perhaps we should review who went eye to eye with the Soviets during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Strangely, there isn't a Republican in the group.
Now, I realize that "Bring It On" and "Mission Accomplished" is easier for Rush to understand than the nuances and extensive vocabulary used by President Obama, but can we please stop with the silliness about the president and Democrats wanting to lose wars? The American people are war weary as is our military. It is time to bring these wars to a responsible, honorable end. I should also like to note that Candidate Obama campaigned on these very points, so it shouldn't come to a surprise to anyone. Do us all a favor, Rush. Pop a few more Oxycontin and fade away like the ball of hot air that you are.
Number Three: Staff members at The Pavilion, a public pool and recreation center in Hazard, KY, who took it upon themselves to order two developmentally disabled gay men from their publically funded (key words: PUBLICALLY FUNDED) facility and then justified their actions by stating that the Bible justifies banning gays from sharing public pools.
Gays Can't Swim In Our Pool Because My Bible Tells Me So
Ladies and gentlemen, where to begin? The homophobia? The religious bullying? The overt bigotry and prejudice? The maltreatment of the developmentally disabled? The whole matter is sickening. At what point will people realize that LGBT Americans not only want to be treated like everyone else, but also have every right to be treated like everyone else????
Number Two: Mahmoud Abdel-Salam Omar, 74, the chairman of a salt company who once headed an Egyptian bank. Mr. Omar, who was accused of sexually abusing an employee at a luxury hotel in New York pleaded guilty Friday to sex abuse in the third degree and will also face a $5 million lawsuit.
Egyptian Exec Pleads Guilty To Sexually Assaulting Hotel Maid
Okay, here we go again. Why do rich guys, specifically rich, old guys, think that female hotel employees are their personal playthings?
Hotel Confidential
Folks, I realize that men who stay in $5,000 per night hotel suites on a regular basis are used to getting their way and not hearing "no", but........................ Much like one or both parties being under the influence, wealth and power are no excuses for sexual assault!!!! These ladies are trying to make an honest living. They are there to provide hospitality and a pleasant stay in a hotel. They are not there for you to have your way with while you are away from home!!!!!
Number One: Fawn C. Lloyd of Tampa, FL, who was arrested after being allegedly observed stealing flowers, stuffed animals, and flags from graves at a local cemetery.
Stealing From the Dead
Can a person get much lower than stealing from the dead? I think not. Again, friends, I don't make this stuff up. I just report it.
Peace and love, my brothers and sisters.
