Authorities say Ostergren beat his wife with a baseball bat, wrapped a chain around her neck and dragged her behind his truck on December 12th. He was tracked to Northern California and arrested in Oroville.

First we have a Dicknozzle of Douchebaggery: An unidentified female California State University, Northridge student who had a meltdown in the campus library during Finals Week because some of her fellow students, in her view, were talking and breathing, yes---breathing, too loudly.

Number Five: An unidentified female thirteen year old Philadelphia middle school student who is currently under arrest for passing the sleep aid Ambien to some of her classmates. Seven were sickened with two in hospital overnight. Reports indicate that the offending student essentially had a mobile pharmacy at the school.

When one practices medicine, one has to put one's hands on members of the opposite sex, but one must maintain the utmost in professionalism and decency. I do not wish to be too judgemental since this matter is still under investigation; but if the allegations are proven to be true, this disgrace to the honorable profession of nursing needs to lose his license for life!
Number Three: We have a twelve way tie for number three this week, friends. Twelve members of the Kenmore (NY) East girls varsity basketball team who routinely engaged in a racist chant in their locker room prior to their games. It seems that in order to prepare themselves to play, they needed to chant "One, two, three, niggers!" before they took to the court. Needless to say, the one African American member of the team was offended by this and rightfully so. However, when she confronted her teammates, she was met with the usual "we aren't racist" nonsense that is to be expected from a community that is 97% white. The end result of this overt bigotry as well as other taunts involving slavery, chains, shackles, and referring to Tyra Batts, the African American member of the team, as a "black piece of shit" was a fight between Batts and an offending teammate. Batts and the other girl involved in the fight were suspended. After investigation, the entire team was suspended due to their racist behavior.

As I was writing this, I checked the calendar. I'll be damned if it isn't 2011, so why are these bigots acting like it is 1962? Sickening. Repulsive. Pitiful. Hateful. Outrageous. The list goes on and on. I have asked this question over and over again. Why do racism and bigotry continue to exist?
Number Two: We have a two way tie for second place on this week's dishonor role, Arthur Brasher and Michelle Hanks who were arrested for allegedly kicking in a Provo, UT woman's front door, entering her apartment, and hitting her with a golf club multiple times. Provo Police Sgt. Matthew Suifanua told ABC 4 that the victim knew the suspects, who broke into her home to collect on what they claimed was a debt owed to them by the victim.

According to media reports, the victim was not seriously injured, but it seems to me like this is another example of society having no regard for human life anymore. I don't know how we as a species got to this point, and I have no idea how we redeem ourselves. I wish I did, but I don't.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Porter and another man drove up to the Burger King on Elkcam Boulevard in Deltona about 10:30 p.m. and said they wanted a "blunt and some herbs" -- slang terms for marijuana. The cashier said she could smell marijuana coming from the car, so she jotted down the vehicle's tag number and description and called the Sheriff's Office.

According to the Andover Eagle-Tribune, two of the team's younger players were coaxed into participating in a "game" called ookie cookie, where one of the players was forced to eat an Oreo cookie covered in semen. One of the students who reported the incident was among the two forced to play the game, while the other who was hazed has reportedly transferred to another school.
The Andover head basketball coach, Fazio, allegedly reported the incident as soon as he learned of it, alerting authorities as early as Nov. 11 of a potential hazing within his team. Still, he has since er Public School policy which alleges that all students involved in hazing will face levels of discipline that vary from suspension to expulsion.

The Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church, located in Pike County, made the vote in response to a longtime member who is engaged to a man whose birthplace is in Zimbabwe, The small congregation, which usually hosts about 40 members each Sunday, held the vote after longtime member Stella Harville, brought her fiancé Ticha Chikuni to church with her in June. The couple performed a song together at the church in which Chikuni sang "I Surrender All," while Harville played the piano. Chikuni, 29, who works at Georgetown College, is black--and Harville, who was baptized at the church but is not an active member, is white. Dean Harville, Stella's father, said he was told by the church's former pastor Melvin Thompson that his daughter and her fiancé were not allowed to sing at the church again. However, Thompson recently stepped down and the church's new pastor, Stacy Stepp, said the couple was once again welcome to sing.

It is thought that the captives' social security checks were being stolen by the alleged perpetrators. The crime is now thought to extend well beyond the City of Philadelphia.

That being said, how does a man of the cloth rationalize having this type of knowledge about a member of his diocese and not notifying the authorities? Number Two: We have a tie for number two on the dishonor roll this week, folks: Ausar Allah-El and Serenity Sol-El who were recently arrested in New Orleans on charges relating to abducting their now five year old son two years ago after losing custody of him in Los Angeles. The boy was found undernourished and weighing 38 pounds, Los Angeles County authorities said Tuesday. He and his parents are believed to have been living on the streets in New Orleans.

First, my friends, we have a Dicknozzle Of Douchebaggery: The suits that control the New York Yankees who recently suspended long time (35 years) beer vendor (yes, you read that correctly BEER VENDOR), Steve Lazarus for engaging in some playful banter with Boston Red Sox, and former Yankee, pitcher, Alfredo Aceves. Lazarus was accused of "harassing" Aceves and was escorted from Yankee Stadium as if he had engaged in criminal activity.

Number Three: Dr. Robert Jeffress, the pastor of a Dallas megachurch, who showed the religious tolerance that the Christian Right in this country is so well known for when he stated that Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, a Mormon, is in a "cult" while endorsing Texas Governor Rick Perry's run for the Republican presidential nomination. In his defense, Perry did say that he doesn't believe that Romney is a cultist; but since Jeffress has made this statement before, I don't see how Perry could have been surprised.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have studied quite a bit of Constitutional Law at the university level, and I have yet to find the part that requires the president to be a Christian. What I did find, however, was the First Amendment, which guarantees religious freedom in the nation. While the same amendment protects Jeffress' statement, and while I will defend his right to say it to my dying breath; comments like his only go to inflame the religious bigotry and intolerance shown by the Christian Right in America. It is counterproductive and intolerant. This country was founded on the right to religious freedom, and the religious right must not be allowed to erode this fundamental right of every citizen.
Number Two: In another example of religious bigotry, a Southwest airlines crew who removed Irum Abbasi, a Muslim woman, from a flight to San Jose when a crew member thought she said "It is a go" into her cell phone. She actually said, "I've got to go." As if this weren't bad enough, after the TSA cleared Abbasi to fly, Southwest would not let her reboard the flight because a crew member was "uncomfortable" having her on the plane. Perhaps a better solution would have been to leave the uncomfortable crew member behind.

Number Five: An unidentified hockey fan from London, Ontario, who took it upon himself or herself to chuck a banana peel at Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds during the Flyers neutral site exhibition game versus Detroit on 22 Sep 11. The apparently racist incident took place while Simmonds, who is African-Canadian, was in the middle of his shootout attempt. Simmonds showed the class that NHL players are known for when discussing the incident after the Flyers ultimately fell to the Wings 4-3:
"When you're a black man playing in a predominantly white man's sport, you've got to come to expect things like that," Simmonds said. "Over the past 23 years of my life, I've come to expect some things like that. But I'm older and more mature now, I kind of just left things roll off [my back]. I try not to think about stuff like that."

The victim awoke to find Lakha touching her below the waist. She told him to stop after removing his hand, after which he, like any good pervert, did it again. He was reported to a flight attendant and arrested when the plane arrived in Atlanta.

Let me explain something here, friends, REAL Americans appreciate and respect all members of our military, regardless of their sexual orientation and regardless of our opinion on the wars that Bush started. May I also take this opportunity to remind you, dear readers, that these are the same people who continuously question liberals and President Obama's dedication to, and love for, this country while they behave in such an atrocious manner? They should be ashamed. I am sure they are not, but they bloody well should be.

Should a married military couple not have sex, Mr. Santorum? Should two heterosexual members of the military who develop romantic feelings for each other not engage in a sexual relationship if both parties decide that is what they want to do? Ridiculous. This is not about sex, sir, this is about gay and lesbian Americans who wish to serve their country, and you would deny them that opportunity merely because they are gay? Or would is be okay if they served as long as they didn't have sex? You, sir, are a disgrace to this great nation and to your party.

The squalid home was also reported to have an overwhelming stench of cat urine and feces. The baby appeared to be suffering from insect and spider bites. and, along with Ethel Hampton's other children, is in state custody.

Ten month-old Aldrich Leathers was found floating in an overflowing bathtub by a man living in Keer's home. The baby died after being rushed to hospital. And what was Keer doing while her baby was drowning? "Working" on a computer in her kitchen. Lovely.

Essentially, this fine example of the judiciary sentenced juveniles who had been convicted of petty crimes to serve time in detention centers in exchange for kickbacks from the detention center developers. Over 4,000 convictions were overturned as a result of this case.
So again, someone in a position of authority uses his power to line his own pockets while treating some of the most vulnerable children in society. Stomach churning, isn't it? Let's hope this man never sees the light of day outside of a prison cell again.

Number One: Edward Lay, 37, of Indianapolis who was a shooting rampage over a loud stereo that resulted in the deaths of two women and critical injuries to another man.
The victims were identified as Mary Swift, 37, of Indianapolis, and Kelly Jinks, 33. The man who was shot was identified as Ronald Kortz II, 40, of Indianapolis. Kortz underwent surgery Friday and was listed in critical but stable condition at Wishard Memorial Hospital.
Swift, who was Lay's girlfriend, and Lay argued over the volume of a stereo. During the exchange, Swift was shot multiple times. Jinks and Kortz were shot when they tried to intervene.
I don't possibly know what else can be said about this. Such is American society in 2011.

First, a Dicknozzle of Douchebaggery: Richard Handl, 31, from Angelholm in southern Sweden who tried to build a nuclear reactor in his kitchen, and, of course, tracked his progress on, among other things, his Facebook page. "The boiling explosion was about 3 or 4 months ago and the police came two weeks ago," he said. After the incident, which he tagged "The Meltdown" on his blog, he said he "cleaned up the mess on the cooker and then I bought some more radium and continued the experiment." After authorities raided his apartment, and discontinued the "experiment", he, in the understatement of the year, logged "Project Cancelled" on his blog. In the future, might I suggest a safer hobby like lion taming volunteering for the bomb squad?

Number Five: One of our favorite windbags, Rush Limbaugh, makes a return appearance this week. What inane thing did he say to warrant a return trip to our twatwaffle list? After a a moronic rant about how President Obama essentially wants to destroy everyone's savings, and I can only assume that the president is happy about the recent stock market slide and tonight's announcement of a credit downgrade, at least in Rush's rather distorted view, he then compared President Obama to strongman Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe. Rush seems to think that President Obama will soon be seizing white folks' farms here in the US, much like Mugabe did in Zimbabwe. Yes, once again, Rush's ignorance of world events and racial insensitivity are on full display again. In his defense, maybe he was stoned on pain killers. Just sayin'.

Among the more (ahem) interesting statements put forth by these wonderful examples of Christianity at it best are that God sent Hitler to Earth to hunt Jews and force them into Israel, the repeal of Don't Ask; Don't Tell caused a bird kill in Arkansas, the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of religion only applies to Christians, the Statue of Liberty is a demonic idol, and that the Japanese stock market has remained stagnant because the Emperor of Japan had sex with the "Sun Goddess". I wish I were making this up, but I am not. Really, Rick, you should watch with whom you are seen. Folks might think you are as loony as these "pastors", nor maybe you are. Regardless, I hope the American people take this type of thing into consideration before possibly electing you as the most powerful man in the world.

Seventy-two members of the online site called Dreamboard have been charged in the United States. Officials said 52 of them have been arrested in the U.S. and abroad. The identities of the remaining 20 are unknown at this time. "In order to become part of the Dreamboard community, prospective members were required to upload pornography portraying children under 12 years of age or younger," said Attorney General Eric Holder at a Justice Department news conference. "Once given access, the participants had to continually upload images of child sexual abuse in order to maintain membership. The more content they provided, the more content they were allowed to access. Members who created and shared images and videos of themselves molesting children received elevated status and greater access," he said. What particularly horrified investigators were "super-hardcore" posts that involved adults having violent sexual intercourse with "very young kids" who were being subjected to both physical and sexual abuse. Holder said, "Some of the children featured in these images and videos were just infants and in many cases, the children being victimized were in obvious and also intentional pain, even in distress and crying, just as the rules for one area of the bulletin board mandated. They had to be in distress and crying."

First a Dicknozzle of Douchebaggery to all of those folks who just INSIST on reposting every silly "If you ate crickets by the campfire and rolled in the pig slop when you were a kid and survived, repost this." on Facebook. Ya' know, most of the people who repost this nonsense are my age, and don't let them fool you. Growing up in the 70s and 80s wasn't all that great. The Cold War. Inflation. Sky high interest rates. Racial strife. Marxist rebels in Central America. The Iran hostage crisis. The energy crisis. Yeah, baby, a good time was had by all. Give me the here and now any day.
Number Five: A thus far unidentified Pembroke Park, FL, man who attempted to rob a gas station in the wee hours, only to discover the cashier and money were safe and secure behind bullet proof glass. While this will not garner him twatwaffle status, the fact that the sodding fool took his mask off while still being recorded by the store's video surveillance will. Hey, Einstein, keep your mask on until you are out of range of the cameras next time.

Number Four: Christopher Hildreth, 20, of Jaffrey, NH, who is accused of adding nasal mucus to the coffee cups of two local police officers at a Dunkin Doughnuts. (Insert tasteless cop and doughnut joke here.) It seems this young man disappeared (or so he thought) into a back room after the officers ordered their beverage where he added the (ahem) extra ingredient. Of course, the police officers saw the whole thing on store video and reported Hildreth to his manager. Hildreth was subsequently sacked. Okay, once we get beyond the yuck factor here, again, Mr. Brilliant be aware of the cameras!!!! I guess the old saying about only the dumb ones getting caught really is true.

Number Three: We have a four way tie for the third biggest twatwaffle this week as four family members have been charged in the murder of ten year old Ame Deal who suffocated after being locked in a box. Again, friends, I don't make this stuff up. I just report it. John and Samantha Allen, both 23, were charged with first-degree murder after confessing they had locked Deal in the box. Cynthia Stoltzmann, 44, and Judith Deal, 62, were charged with child abuse and kidnapping after both admitted they had locked the girl in the box on previous occasions. It seems that these fine upstanding examples of humanity often locked the young girl in the box as a form of punishment. On top of that, they tried to convince the investigating law enforcement officers that the girl had willingly climbed into the box while playing hide and seek. Sure, and she willingly stayed in there until she died to avoid being "it". Unbelievable!!!! Now, I would like to see these four imprisoned in a stifling hot box for about the next 95 years.

Number Two: Robert Bruszenski, 68, of York, SC, who informed police that he "just lost it" and severely beat his DISABLED 40 year old daughter. The daughter suffers from MS and spends the vast majority of her time in a wheelchair and has virtually no use of her legs and very limited use of her arms. The daughter reportedly needed help going to the bathroom, and this is what caused Bruszenski to snap. He called local police, admitted to beating the woman, and threatened to kill her if they didn't quickly arrive at his home. Upon arrival, officers found the woman with a swollen eye, and blood on her face, nose, and lips. You know, as a longtime EMT and a student nurse, I find this particularly disturbing, It isn't as if these folks asked for their lot in life. Do you not think they would prefer to be able to go to the loo without assistance? As fellow humans, we need to treat these folks with all the honor and dignity that human beings deserve. The abuse happening at the hand of a parent makes it that much more sickening.
Number One: Suspected Taliban insurgents who hanged an 8 year old boy in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. The boy's father, a local police officer, refused to surrender himself, his staff, and his vehicle to local militants, after which they took the boy from his home and hanged him. One more time, guys and girls, I do not make this up. I just report it, so you don't forget how lucky you really are to be relatively healthy, safe, and secure. As for the boy, if there is a heaven, I truly hope he is there. As for the insurgents, I hope Allah has a particularly hot, miserable place in hell for those who kill in the name of a perfectly peaceful and honorable religion, Islam.

Number Four: Christopher Hildreth, 20, of Jaffrey, NH, who is accused of adding nasal mucus to the coffee cups of two local police officers at a Dunkin Doughnuts. (Insert tasteless cop and doughnut joke here.) It seems this young man disappeared (or so he thought) into a back room after the officers ordered their beverage where he added the (ahem) extra ingredient. Of course, the police officers saw the whole thing on store video and reported Hildreth to his manager. Hildreth was subsequently sacked. Okay, once we get beyond the yuck factor here, again, Mr. Brilliant be aware of the cameras!!!! I guess the old saying about only the dumb ones getting caught really is true.

Number Three: We have a four way tie for the third biggest twatwaffle this week as four family members have been charged in the murder of ten year old Ame Deal who suffocated after being locked in a box. Again, friends, I don't make this stuff up. I just report it. John and Samantha Allen, both 23, were charged with first-degree murder after confessing they had locked Deal in the box. Cynthia Stoltzmann, 44, and Judith Deal, 62, were charged with child abuse and kidnapping after both admitted they had locked the girl in the box on previous occasions. It seems that these fine upstanding examples of humanity often locked the young girl in the box as a form of punishment. On top of that, they tried to convince the investigating law enforcement officers that the girl had willingly climbed into the box while playing hide and seek. Sure, and she willingly stayed in there until she died to avoid being "it". Unbelievable!!!! Now, I would like to see these four imprisoned in a stifling hot box for about the next 95 years.

Number Two: Robert Bruszenski, 68, of York, SC, who informed police that he "just lost it" and severely beat his DISABLED 40 year old daughter. The daughter suffers from MS and spends the vast majority of her time in a wheelchair and has virtually no use of her legs and very limited use of her arms. The daughter reportedly needed help going to the bathroom, and this is what caused Bruszenski to snap. He called local police, admitted to beating the woman, and threatened to kill her if they didn't quickly arrive at his home. Upon arrival, officers found the woman with a swollen eye, and blood on her face, nose, and lips. You know, as a longtime EMT and a student nurse, I find this particularly disturbing, It isn't as if these folks asked for their lot in life. Do you not think they would prefer to be able to go to the loo without assistance? As fellow humans, we need to treat these folks with all the honor and dignity that human beings deserve. The abuse happening at the hand of a parent makes it that much more sickening.
Number One: Suspected Taliban insurgents who hanged an 8 year old boy in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. The boy's father, a local police officer, refused to surrender himself, his staff, and his vehicle to local militants, after which they took the boy from his home and hanged him. One more time, guys and girls, I do not make this up. I just report it, so you don't forget how lucky you really are to be relatively healthy, safe, and secure. As for the boy, if there is a heaven, I truly hope he is there. As for the insurgents, I hope Allah has a particularly hot, miserable place in hell for those who kill in the name of a perfectly peaceful and honorable religion, Islam.

Number Five: Militant group al-Shabab who are not allowing The World Food Program to reach 2.2 million people in desperate need of aid in famine stricken Somalia.
We Don't Care If People Are Starving To Death. It Is All About Our Militant Ideals
Are people really this cold hearted? Well, obviously, they are; but I just can't grasp being so callous as to let people starve to death or die attempting to walk to refugee camps rather than let food aid, which is readily available, reach them. The group, in fact, denies a famine is taking place, disputing the U.N.'s view that tens of thousands of people have already died. Al-Shabab signaled in early July that it would accept aid groups it had previously banned, but changed course on Thursday, saying groups like WFP are not welcome. The group's refusal to accept aid from Western and "Christian" aid groups means millions could starve — or be forced to begin the hike to help to Kenya, Ethiopia or Mogadishu, the Somali capital, which is also being overwhelmed with refugees.
Allah be praised. You are keeping out the infidel food. May you find an extremely hot, extraordinarily hot corner of hell reserved for you when your day comes.
Number Four: Anders Behring Breivik, a 32 year old Norwegian who expressed right-wing and anti-Muslim views on the Internet and is now suspected of killing scores of Norwegians in an unprecedented attack this week.

Well, folks, we see again what happens when extremist political views are left unchecked. How does a person become so committed to a particular viewpoint that they can justify killing those they think oppose them? If this can happen in an open and peaceful country like Norway, when will it happen here again?
On a side note, there is talk that this man is an evangelical Christian. If this is true and is being covered up by the media in western world, they should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!
Number Three: TiAndra Davis, 21, of Rancho Cordova, CA, who allegedly left a six month old Pomeranian/Shih Tzy mix puppy in a 93 degree car with no water and with the windows only cracked approximately two inches.

The puppy, Gizmo, was found panting heavily on the rear seat of Davis' car. The puppy was taken to a hospital but later died. Davis has been charged with animal cruelty.
I have an idea. Let's lock her in a sweltering can with no fresh air or water, and see how she likes it!!!!
