Number Five: Comedian and "30 Rock" star, Tracy Morgan, who during a 3 June 11 stand up set in Nashville, TN, launched into a homophobic tirade that included the hysterical (note dripping sarcasm, dear readers) thought of stabbing his son to death if his son were gay.

Okay, folks, one more time.................. It is not, I say again----NOT, acceptable to use homophobic slurs and/or make fun of the bullying that LGBT people endure on a daily basis as part of a comedy routine or anything else. Can we not find humor without vilifying others? Just a thought.........

Number Four: A combination of seven people who were arrested for gang raping a junior high school girl at a party in Mexico City along with the pieces of human debris who took it upon themselves to make video recordings of the attack without making any effort to intervene.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I don't know which of these I find more repulsive. First off, what kind of animals drug and rape a JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL GIRL???? The story isn't clear about whether the victim was intoxicated through her own actions or if she was drugged before being assaulted. Bluntly, folks, I don't really care if she got loaded on her own, that is no excuse whatsoever to take advantage of her. Further, the fact that the alleged attackers were under the influence is also no excuse. I have said a thousand times before, and I shall say one hundred thousand more times in the future that anyone being high, drunk, or a combination thereof, is no excuse for sexual assault and/or rape.

That being said, it is equally disgusting, if not more so, that this attack was videotaped by a group of people who apparently made no effort whatsoever to stop the rape from continuing. Is this what society has come to? A bunch of bottom feeders who think it is acceptable to watch, and record, a young girl being gang raped while doing nothing to help her? It is mind numbing to say the least; and before any of my more racially insensitive readers make any comments about this heinous act happening in Mexico, I would like to remind everyone that many incidents similar to this have taken place right here in the good old USA.

Number Three: Tamiru Etana Gillede of Houston, TX, who allegedly ran over his wife and daughter with his car near an elementary school after the man, had argued with his wife.

Let's review.................. He was trying to go to work. She, for whatever reason, was trying to prevent him from doing so. His level headed response? Returning to the area where they lived, intentionally driving his car onto the soddding sidewalk, and striking his wife and daughter, causing the daughter to suffer severe head trauma. Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe the next time one of my fellow students wants me to blow off class, I will respond by setting fire to my house. Good Lord, I ask again, friends and frenemies, what are human beings coming to? Have we no sense of decency or understanding of the value of human life?

Number Two: The parent, or parents, of a five year old Kansas City, MO, girl who has been charged with intentionally drowning 18-month-old Jermane Johnson Jr. because the toddler "cried too much", "made too much noise", and she "didn't like him". The five year old................... You know what? I need to say that again to be sure everyone understands...................... THE FIVE YEAR OLD................. The five year old was without parental supervision, although there was a mentally handicapped 16 year old "babysitter" in the house, but she was asleep at the time.

Folks, I don't even know where to start................ It is really difficult for me to label a five year old child as a twatwaffle. Seriously, at that age, they don't really understand right from wrong, or the permanency of death. However, what does chill me to the bone is that the child admitted to law enforcement she did it on purpose. She purposely drowned a defenseless eighteen month toddler. I find that beyond disturbing.

However, I would like to know where the parents were? I would like to know why they left a mentally handicapped sixteen year old in charge of a five year old and an eighteen month old. I could almost accept a sixteen year old baby sitter, but a sixteen year old with limited mental capacities? Should the parents have not had a more responsible and capable person looking after these young children? My statement about five year olds not really grasping right from wrong notwithstanding, will someone please give me an idea about how this five year old has been raised to lead her to believe that it is okay to kill a toddler that she finds annoying? Again, my finger is pointed directly at the parents. I am not sure how the State of Missouri will deal with a five year old killer, but I certainly hope the five year old killer's parents are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Number One: Said Biyad, a man convicted of killing his four children in 2006, who was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole in Louisville, KY this week.

Somalian immigrant Siyad Biyad has been in jail since the October 6, 2006 deaths of his four young children - ages 8, 7, 4, and 2 - in the apartment where they all lived. During the trial, Biyad's wife testified that on the day of the murders, Biyad became enraged when she got home from work, and beat and raped her until he passed out and then killed the four children. All four children had their throats slashed, and Biyad's oldest son had been struck in the head. Biyad's wife was left for dead as she frantically called 911.

The judge called it "the most horrific crime scene" he had ever seen.

Again, ladies and gentlemen, I don't know where to start. I don't know what to say. All I can say is that human beings are oftentimes the most evil, vile creatures on the planet.

Have We Not Established That Being LGBT Is NOT A Choice?

You know what I don't understand? I don't understand why there is a segment of our population who still insists that being LGBT is some type of choice and can be changed. Today, I shall share two tragic examples of what can happen when this type of thinking prevails.

In the first example, a young boy who exhibited "feminine" characteristics underwent experimental therapy to make him more masculine. Arguably, the end result was the young man's suicide in the prime of his life.

So.............this anti-gay activist and "therapist", who in a delicious and almost expected turn of events was later observed with a male escort, feels he can "cure" your gay son by denying him attention from his mother, having his father savagely beat him when his behavior is not masculine enough, and other barbaric treatment. The man is without question subhuman.

Now, I suppose the case could be made that this "therapy" took place in the 1970s, and we have come a long way since then. The problem with that is that Mr. Rekers is still looked upon as an expert and leading voice by some in the anti-gay movement. It is certainly interesting how they seem to be able to overlook HIS apparent homosexual tendencies, but I digress. The other issue I have with this is that "Kraig" was hailed as a success story by the anti-gay crowd until the news about his suicide broke. Much like prisoners who are tortured, I would imagine that if any of us were subjected to the savagery that Kirk Murphy endured, we would do or say virtually anything to make it stop, and I fully suspect that we would carry the psychological scars long after the physical ones healed.

The other example involves a transgender prisoner who has attempted to castrate herself on more than one occasion due to the Virginia Department of Corrections refusing her requests for sexual reassignment surgery.

So..................... Let's see if we understand this case. Prisoners are rightfully provided with health care except in this instance where sexual reassignment surgeries are still widely viewed as expensive vanity projects for the least vocal letter in the LGBT community, and not seen as the absolute medical necessity that they are. Nobody chops off their own penis in the face of potential death on a whim. Ophelia De’lonta, like thousands of others, was driven to action because she suffers from an unmet medical need.

27,000 Americans have gender identity disorder, resulting in 500-750 sexual reassignment surgeries each year. For every person with access to these oftentimes life-saving treatments, many are forced to go without.

“Everybody has the right to have their health care needs met, whether they are in prison or out on the streets. People in the prisons who have bad hearts, hips or knees have surgery to repair those things,” Michelle Kosilek told The Associated Press in a recent phone interview from a state prison in Norfolk, Mass.

“My medical needs are no less important or more important than the person in the cell next to me.”

Federal courts have said prisons must provide adequate medical care, and that they must protect inmates from themselves. But correctional officials and lawmakers balk at using taxpayer money for sex-change operations that can cost up to $20,000.

Again, ladies and gentlemen, I think the root cause of this matter is the belief that being LGBT is a choice; as if these ladies chose to be the way they are, and in a male correctional facility no less. Can you only imagine the harassment, unwelcome advances, assaults, and rapes they must endure on a daily basis?

While these examples may be extreme, they speak to the larger issue of sexual orientation not being a choice; and for those who suggest it is I would like for you to answer one simple question for me...............

When did you decide or choose to be straight?

Rep. Weiner, We Are Awaiting Your Resignation

You know what I don't understand? I don't understand why Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) is still in office. He sent lurid photos of himself to females on social networking websites, he had X-rated conversations online and over the phone, and he may very well have used his taxpayer funded office to carry out these tasteless activities. Yet, he still occupies that office while the leadership of his own party calls for an ethics investigation. Why?

I do have to say I am a bit bemused by the Republican shrieking and wailing about Weiner's indiscretions. I can only speak for myself, dear readers, but I find it very difficult to swallow the party of Larry Craig, Mark Sanford, John Ensign, Mark Foley, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's blathering about Weiner's immoral behavior, lack of respect for his marriage, lack of "family values", and so on.

That being established, Weiner knowingly engaged in lurid behavior, tried to cover it up, bold face lied about it, and possibly abused taxpayer funds in the process. I am a liberal Democrat, and I say that you, sir, are a disgrace to our party, the House of Representatives, our nation, and yourself. It is no wonder so many average Americans hold politicians in such contempt. Save us all the time and embarrassment of seeing you and your family drug through the mud by the media and the ethics committee, and resign your seat immediately.

Assuming you have the common sense and decency to do so, here is hoping that you will never be seen, nor heard from, again. Good riddance to bad garbage.

Sarah Palin's Revisionist History

Well, folks, have you heard the latest on Sarah Palin's "Revere-gate" flap? She is now claiming that she was, in fact, correct when she stated that Paul Revere warned the British during his famous midnight ride. To make it worse, it would appear that some of her supporters have been trying to edit Wikipedia to Palin's revised version of American history.

Palin Screwed Up Again? Just Rewrite History......

Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know which is worse. The fact that Sarah Sixpacck won't just admit she made a mistake or that her fan club is trying to rewrite our nation's history. I guess Palin's refusal to admit an error shouldn't come as a surprise. This is the same person who didn't know the duties of the vice-president when she was a candidate for that very office, couldn't name a Supreme Court ruling with which she disagreed, and has no grasp of foreign policy. Her inability to articulate herself and put together a logical train of thoughts would be laughable, save the fact that a segment of our populace, for reasons I cannot fathom, actually think this late night TV punch line is a viable candidate for leader of the free world.

I must say that it is equally disturbing that some of Palin's supporters have taken it upon themselves to update Wikipedia, and heaven knows what else, to try to change history to suit her new version of Paul Revere's ride. Some of the same Tea Party members that like to read the Constitution during their rallies, that like to act as though they are the only real Americans left, and that like to tout their unflappable knowledge of our country and her history now want to rewrite history to cover another of their poster child's gaffes? Shameful.

My father is a very wise man, and he taught me that "when (I) am up to my nose in s**t, (I) should keep my mouth shut". Perhaps Palin and her supporters should take his advice.

Number Five:  Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), who may, or may not, have sent a lewd crotch shot of himself to a 21 year old female college student who follows his Twitter account.  Did he send it?  Was his account hacked?  I suspect only he knows, but what I can say is that his behavior since the incident first occurred has done nothing to instill confidence in him.  He has been evasive.  He has been rude with reporters.  He has, as of today, essentially refused to comment on the matter further.  My suggestion would be to make a statement and stick with it.  Otherwise, he looks guilty whether he is or not.

Number Four:  Former North Carolina Senator and Democrat Party presidential candidate, John Edwards, who was indicted today on charges of using what were basically campaign contributions to support his mistress, Rielle Hunter, with whom he fathered a child.  I should note that Mr. Edwards ongoing affair while his wife, Elizabeth, was dying of cancer earned him Twatwaffle status last year.  Yes, he is a repeat offender, and a true twatwaffle to the core.

Number Three:  Sarah Palin, who in her infinite wisdom, recently declared that Paul Revere warned THE BRITISH during the Revolutionary War.  Yes, once again, Sarah Sixpack has opened her pie hole and inserted her Made In The USA work boot in it.  For the record, Revere warned THE AMERICANS of an impending British attack.  Hence his famous, "The British are coming!!!!  The British are coming!!!"  Oh, but Palin represents real America.  She speaks for honest, God fearing, Tea Party types.  Actually, she may since most of them are clueless about history as well.  Really, Sarah, would you please take your bumbling, crass,  misstepping, misspeaking self back to Alaska where you belong?  Those of us who see you for the caricature you are have had more than enough of you.

Number Two:  Rebecca Colleen Christie of New Mexico, who was recently sentenced in federal court to twenty five years in prison for her November, 2009 second degree murder and child abandonment conviction for letting her three and a half year old daughter, Brandi Wulf, die from malnutrition and dehydration while she played World of Warcraft on her computer.  Christie's ex-husband, U.S. Air Force Sgt. Derek Wulf, earns Dicknozzle Of Doucebaggery dishonors for pleading guilty to child neglect.  It seems he had issues with his ex-wife's ability to care for the child but didn't see fit to alert authorities.  What can I add to this, dear readers?  This is a tragic story and further proof that parenting skills do not occur naturally to humans.  They must be learned.  It is also further proof that we all need to be on the alert for "parents" who abuse or neglect their children.  It IS your business.  You DO need to get involved.  Please.  I'm begging you.  If one child is saved from this type of tragedy, it will be worth it.

Number One:  Richard Tice, Sr., 63, of Oak Harbor, WA, who admitted to raping two children, but then blamed his actions on.................................the four year old victim.  The four year old victim.  Folks, I don't make this stuff up.

Why Must We Label People?

You know what I don't understand? I don't understand why so many folks insist on labeling people. Ladies and gentlemen, you know the kind of thing I mean..............

"The queer from ABC Company."

"The rag head across the street."

"That dyke in accounting."

"The spics down the block."

"That fat bastard who works at the hardware store."

"The kike who cuts our grass."

Really, dear readers, this kind of thing really grates on my nerves. Must we address other human beings in such derogatory and disrespectful terms? Can we not celebrate our differences without insulting each other?

Here is an idea. Everyone has a name. Why don't we try using them instead of these inane labels?

June Is Gay Pride Month

LGBT pride or gay pride is the concept that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people should be proud of their sexual orientation and gender identity.  The movement has three main premises: that people should be proud of their sexual orientation and gender identity, that diversity is a gift, and that sexual orientation and gender identity are inherent and cannot be intentionally altered. The use of the abbreviated gay pride and pride have since become mainstream and shorthand expressions inclusive of all individuals in various LGBT communities.

The word pride is used in this case as an antonym for shame, which has been used to control and oppress LGBT persons throughout history. Pride in this sense is an affirmation of one's self and the community as a whole. The modern "pride" movement began after the "Stonewall riots" in 1969. Instead of backing down to unconstitutional raids by New York City Police Department, gay people in local bars fought back. While it was a violent situation it also gave the underground community the first sense of communal pride in a very well publicized incident. From the yearly parade that commemorated the anniversary of the Stonewall riots began a national grassroots movement. Today many countries around the world celebrate LGBT pride.

The pride movement has furthered the cause of gay rights by lobbying politicians, registering voters and increasing visibility to educate on issues important to LGBT communities. LGBT pride advocates work for equal "rights and benefits" for LGBT people

If you are LGBT, if you have friends or family who are, or if you merely realize that gay people deserve equal rights and protection, I urge you to use this month to stand with our gay and lesbian brothers and sister as they fight for acceptance and equality.
